Overview:
The life of one of the most important writers of the 20th century: Franz Kafka. The plot follows him from his childhood in Prague to his death in Austria after World War I. The film dives into his complicated relationship with his authoritarian father, Hermann, and his monotonous routine at an insurance company, which contrasted with his visceral need to write. Through a fragmented and post-modern portrait, we are introduced to his strong friendship with editor Max Brod and his complex romances with Felice Bauer and Milena Jesenská. A work that reveals a man who longed for a common life, but who, due to an inner world full of imagination and anguish, became an immortal and extraordinary author.
